There was only 2 normal days of the week that we were actually in our area this week, so we had to use those days well. One of the days we decided to go proselyte at
️lake park
️ which is a huge famous park in our area. We actually only ended up having conversations with like 3 people cause they were all really long conversations, and 2 of them took a Book of Mormon.
The next day we went to lake park again, and we saw this lady who was busking. There was a guy sitting alone watching and so we sat next to him and talked for a bit, and we were gonna leave but the lady who was busking called us out and said "it looks like we've got some foreigners here, so I guess we need to sing a song in English!" So she sang perfect by Ed sheeran. So we felt obligated to stay until the end of that song.
But then as we were gonna leave again a younger guy came up to us and asked if we could watch together. So we stayed a little longer and ended up giving the younger guy a Book of Mormon cause it was his birthday. I mean we would have given him one anyway but yeah. Anyway we ended up being there a lot longer than we expected (our entire proselyting time). There was this grandma who started dancing in the middle and it was so funny, and then she pointed at me and beckoned me to join her and I just couldn't resist!
You can watch the video of us dancing here

We had an elder's conference with all the elders in the mission. I think it went pretty well cause everyone was motivated and talking to people on the subway on the way back to their areas. Actually the most success I've had getting numbers these days has been on the subway since we've traveled a lot and talking to someone as you travel feels a lot more natural.

We had a choir performance on Saturday night with our mission "sound of spirit" choir. I think it went pretty well for only practicing like 4 times as a group, especially cause I feel like most of the time we did spend at choir practice was just like eating meals and stuff haha.
Finally got some people at pickleball activity, and expecting more this week. Expecting an actual net this week as well so we dont have to use the volleyball net anymore haha. Being the pbpp* that I am, I can hardly play in these conditions.

*pbpp - pure blood pickleball player: someone who gets into pickleball before playing tennis or other racquet sports

Anyway, as for teaching friends, we had someone new come to church this week named 김성수 who lived in Utah for a couple months and has a lot of questions. He left right after sacrament but hoping to meet him again.
We also had an amazing lesson with someone named 박재익 who said all the right things, but then as we took him to the door he informed us that he probably won't be coming back because his sister is against our church. I told him that we will respect his choice if that is what he decides, but regardless invited him to pray to God and ask about the things we've taught, and also ask if he should meet with us again.

The Eye of Faith
Here is a general conference talk that I enjoyed reading. Maybe a good question to ask as you read is: am I accepting and trying to follow everything that is commanded of me from the Lord's servants (words of the prophets and apostles), or am I picking and choosing the things that I want to follow, and rejecting some other things?
