Back to 2 ㅠㅠ / pickleball club 인기가 ⬆️⬆️

Once again the transition from living with 4 people to 2 was a little rough, but this just means the nightly goal grind is back so that's alright with me. Before transfers... had a fun little outdoor meal with some members. 

Other Highlights:

Fun little outing with Annie and Grace (don't worry Elder Morris, it was raining so the picnic didn't work out anyway)

So I mentioned that the pickleball club has been gaining some popularity, and this week it finally took off. There's this lady who likes tennis named 최미옥 who the elders got her number all the way back in January, and she never came to an activity but we kept inviting her lol. So after literally 5-6 months of random calls and inviting her to our activity, a few weeks back she was like "I can't come this week but I'll send my husband". So her husband came and we had a great time playing pickleball. And then I think 최미옥 came the next week but I didn't think was her cause I thought her husband was her son so that's awkward but you can never tell in this country. And then this week she said she couldn't come but she'd send some more people. We weren't sure what to expect but 4 PEOPLE got out of the car that pulled up and were ready to play pickleball. And they're all tennis players so they were good. I mean I'm a PBPP (pure blood pickleball player) (that means you didn't play tennis a lot before pickleball) so naturally I still beat them. Luckily they like a little competition so it went really well and they're gonna come back. Super awesome

Moroni 6: 5-6 

And the church did meet together oft, to fast and to pray, and to speak one with another concerning the welfare of their souls. 6 And they did meet together oft to partake of bread and wine, in remembrance of the Lord Jesus.

I love these versus because they highlight the importance of us attending church. For the welfare of our souls, and to take the sacrament and remember Jesus Christ. Being able to attend church is a huge blessing in our lives!

The Plan Continues

I'm staying in sokcho another transfer so you know what that means...the plan to get every English class student in the area continues  we've seen some good progress with that plan recently, cause the people at our Friday English club like us so much that they started telling their friends and now they're just setting up random appointments for us to meet with their friends haha. And even though we haven't had a chance to teach many people the gospel, I know that our efforts to serve people and teach them English are not being wasted. Because the harder we've tried on it, the more people that have come to our church English class, and the more people that have listened to our spiritual message after class. And we give them church invitations in class often and I think one of them will definitely come to church soon

Alma 57:21

21 Yea, and they did obey and observe to perform every word of command with exactness; yea, and even according to their faith it was done unto them;

I like this verse because it talks about the 2000 stripling warriors, and how they were able to obtain the miracle that none of them died in battle. And the way they did this was obeying all commands with exactness. I know that when we follow God's commands with exactness, we will be able to see more miracles in our lives. Also the Book of Mormon videos for this part in the Book of Mormon are way good so you should all watch them!

Also we got transfer news and I'm gonna be getting a new companion, and becoming a trainer and a DL  am I cooked?? (yes)

Dragon Festival!!🐉🐲🀄(very interesting week!)

There was absolutely no such "Dragon Festival" this week  I just wanted you all to click on the email and needed a good hook 

We started off this week by meeting with our new friend Mr Jin. He wanted to learn English but didn't want to come to the class so we met with him separately. He took us out to eat but unfortunately it was to eat 순대국 (cow intestine soup and stuff) which both my companion and I do not like. And Mr Jin is a very traditional Korean, so we could tell he wasn't letting us leave until we ate everything. With enough kimchi and rice though, and because God is merciful, it was possible in the end.

He also took us back to the flower place we had already been too and expected us to be amazed, but we weren't too surprised cause we were there the day before haha. We pretended to be surprised for him though lol. We got to teach him about our purpose as missionaries and a few little things, but nothing too serious, because if the first meeting is too serious they will ghost you and you won't get a next appointment. But it went well and we're meeting him again some time soon.

April 2025 general conference, Neil L. Anderson "Cherishing Life" 

"God cherishes life. It is His work and His glory to bring immortality and eternal life to His children. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we cherish life. “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” May we share our love even more abundantly with those who need us so desperately."

This was one of my favorite general conference talks this last conference, and as I listened to this part I was reminded how great of a blessing our lives are! God truly loves us and he wants us to receive the greatest blessing of eternal life. And there are many who don't understand the importance of that, so it is important for us to share our love more abundantly with everyone like it says, because they need it desperately
